Red Bus Project Visits Union

The students of Union were so excited to see the Red Bus pull onto our campus today! We have been anxiously anticipating Show Hope's arrival since we heard about this event. As a part of Student Government Association, we have been collecting clothes around campus to get ready for the bus to be here. When they arrived today, their presence was immediately noticed. We headed outside to help in any way we could, starting with bringing out several loads of donated clothes. As we learned more about the Red Bus Project and Show Hope, we fell more in love with the organization. All of the volunteers and staff were so eager to get started and get us informed and involved! Adoption is such a beautiful picture of the gospel, and we are thankful for an organization that is passionate about it.

Here at Union we have a special connection to Show Hope. With it being a pretty small school, we are a close knit group of students and faculty. Two of our faculty members are actually in the process of applying for a grant through Show Hope. They are previous Union students who are now married and both working at our school. They are still very involved with the students here, and we have been following their adoption process closely with a lot of excitement! When we found out they were working with Show Hope it made this event very personal to us, and I think students are now even more excited about getting involved and supporting.
